Obama gift may help some K College students

President Obama says he'll donate part of his Nobel Peace Prize money to a group that brings low-income students to Kalamazoo College.

The White House says Mr. Obama will give his $1.4 million prize to ten charities, including the Posse Foundation. It will get $125,000. The group has an agreement with K-College to bring fifty students to the school from low-income areas of Los Angeles.

The project started in 2008 and runs through 2017. Ten more "Posse Scholars" will enroll at the College this fall. The program covers all tuition and expenses. It also received a $5 million grant from the Arcus Foundation in Kalamazoo.
