WMU program helps people quit smoking with new state ban in effect

Michigan's ban on smoking in most workplaces has now been in effect for a month. Western Michigan University has launched a new effort to help its students, employees and dependents stop smoking. Lauralee Middleton is a nurse-tobacco specialist at Sindacuse Health Center. She says the new program called "Kick the Nic" improves upon earlier efforts
