The Nuclear Regulatory Commission may send an additional inspector to the Palisades Nuclear Power Plant. Palisades shut down voluntarily on Tuesday to fix a leak in the plant’s injection/ refueling water tank. Mlive/Kalamazoo Gazette reports that if an additional inspector is sent, they would observe how a leak is fixed. The NRC has already increased monitoring of the plant because of a series of incidents in 2011.
