The fallout from this week’s National Transportation Safety Board’s report on the 2010 oil spill on the Kalamazoo River is being felt in Canada. The Vancouver Sun reports that the oil spill near Marshall could scuttle a proposal by pipeline owner Enbridge for a pipeline between Alberta and the British Columbia coast. Meanwhile Enbridge President Al Monaco defended the pipeline industry on Thursday. The Calgary Herald reports that Monaco gave the keynote address at an energy conference in Calgary, and said the industry faces “Unrelenting opposition to energy projects.”
