Kalamazoo City commissioners are expected to approve another three-year Metro Transit agreement with Western Michigan University Monday night. The city and the university have had similar agreements since 1998. They allow Western students and employees to ride Metro Transit busses for free. The new agreement would cost Western nearly $1.6 million. Kalamazoo City commissioners will also give “first reading” to a proposed ordinance that would allow food trucks in the city.
