Whirlpool Corporation officials say the company plans to create about 180 new jobs at its plants in Benton Harbor and St. Joseph. The South Bend Tribune reports the jobs are part of the company’s move to put refrigeration development centers all in one place. Whirpool is planning to shut down refrigeration operations at their Evansville, Indiana plant by 2014.
