Detroit Free Press: Granholm's address spreads on internet

Former Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm used her speech to the Democratic Convention to praise the Obama administration’s assistance for the domestic auto industry. Granholm also used her speech in Charlotte to criticize Republican Presidential nominee Mitt Romney who opposed government assistance for General Motors and Chrysler. The Detroit Free Press reports that video of Granholm’s animated address spread quickly around the internet. Michigan Republicans responded quickly to the speech, saying Granholm presided over a “lost decade” that saw Michigan consistently have one of the highest unemployment rates in the nation.
