The Kalamazoo City Commission will consider whether to transfer a liquor license to Henderson Castle. If approved Monday night the license would allow liquor to be sold at the French restaurant at the castle operated by Francois Moyet, the owner of the former Francois’ in Kalamazoo. Mlive/Kalamazoo Gazette reports the city administration has recommended approving the transfer seven months after denying a similar request. Kalamazoo Public Safety Chief Jeff Hadley recommended approving the license if parking spaces are clearly identified and if emergency egress to area could be ready to use.
