Battle Creek Public School officials say plans for upkeep of the district’s buildings is up in the air after a millage renewal was rejected on Tuesday. The Battle Creek Enquirer reports that 52% of voters turned down the request. The district could make another request of voters in February or May. Battle Creek Schools’ Superintendent Linda Hicks told the Enquirer that she would have to speak with school board members about a future millage request.
