A long road for a young man from Ann Arbor has wound up at Western Michigan University. The Detroit Free Press has been following the story of 18 year old Marcus Buggs of Ann Arbor. Buggs’ witnessed his father’s murder and his mother has been in federal prison twice. The occasional series has illustrated the challenges facing at-risk students. The fifth installment finds Buggs enrolled at Western as part of the Seita Scholars program, which offers a scholarship and assistance to former foster kids.
