Mlive Kalamazoo: Portage City Council holds on approving court closure

Portage City officials say they are concerned that closing the Portage District Court could cost the city both time and money. Mlive/Kalamazoo Gazette reports that the Portage City Council voted Tuesday night to get more details before agreeing to shut down the court. Kalamazoo County Chief District Judge Paul Bridenstine has recommended closing the district court in Portage to improve efficiency.
