Mistake hits thousands of Michigan Bridge card users

The state says “human error” led to a problem with food assistance cards that’s affected more than 85,000 low-income families in Michigan. The Detroit Free Press reports that the issue involves Bridge cards with numbers ending in zero. State officials say they hope to have the problem fixed by the end of the day Friday. They say people with Bridge cards that do not end in numbers other than zero aren’t affected.
