The Michigan Legislature returns to session Wednesday. There is a light agenda for the first day, including the swearing in of House members for a new term. The Detroit News reports that protests are planned over the legislation approved in December that makes Michigan a “right to work” state. Republican Representative Jase Bolger of Marshall will be formally re-elected Speaker of the House, but Democrats may break with tradition and not give Bolger unanimous support.
