Kalamazoo College has received a $1 million gift. But college officials say they don't know who made the donation. They say a bank working on behalf of the unnamed donor contacted the college recently.
The money must be used to support student financial aid. K College Vice-President for Advancement Victoria Gorrell says the donor requested that priority be given to female and minority students in financial need. The college's board of trustees will decide exactly how the money will be used.
Gorrell says K-College officials don't know what connection, if any, the donor has to the school. But Gorrell says the gift will be a "tremendous boon" to the college and its students.
