SW Michigan market expert on GM bankruptcy


A market analyst who regularly reports on southwest Michigan's economy says the bankruptcy of General Motors will probably hurt the state and mean less state tax money for Kalamazoo. Brian Long directs supply chain management research at Grand Valley State University. He says the good news is that southwest Michigan has diversified its economy and isn't as reliant on the automotive industry as other parts of the state. Long spoke with WMUK's Gordon Evans about GM's announcement Monday that it is filing for bankruptcy.
