Kalamazoo County Commissioners have agreed to an $85.5-million budget for next year, despite the fact the state legislature has yet to decide how much it will share with county governments. However, most of the commission's discussion Tuesday night revolved around a $25,000 line item - mileage reimbursement for jurors. Most agree 10-cents-per-mile is too low, yet some were hesitant to boost it to the 55-cents employees will get. Ultimately, commissioners agreed to raise the rate to 30-cents-per-mile.
