The Michigan Public Service Commission has identified an area that includes parts of Allegan County as one of two Wind Energy Resource Zones. Yesterday's order identifies a region that includes Bay Huron and Saginaw Counties as the primary zone for producing wind energy. Public Service Commission officials say the decision will allow transmission companies to move forward with projects in Michigan to create wind energy.
