Organization serving victims of abuse adds advocate to help Hispanics

A St. Joseph County based non-profit organization which helps victims of domestic and sexual abuse has added a new advocate to help those in the Hispanic community. Domestic and Sexual Abuse Services recently added Janneth Ospina, whose first language is Spanish.

Along with counseling, Ospina says she travels to court dates to act as a translator and also helps translate and file paperwork.?Domestic and Sexual Abuse Services offers legal help, counseling, education and emergency shelter to victims of abuse in St. Joseph, Cass and Van Buren counties.
