Lansing State Journal: Resistance to pipeline project remains

Enbridge Energy officials say resistance to a new pipeline project from homeowners in Ingham County is some of the toughest they have ever seen. Representatives of the pipeline company tell the Lansing State Journal that lingering distrust over the 2010 Kalamazoo River oil spill has likely caused that opposition. Enbridge wants to replace 285 miles of the pipeline that ruptured two years ago. That spilled more than 800,000 gallons of crude oil into the Kalamazoo River near Marshall.
