Mlive: Increase in licenses bought for firearms deer season

There was an increase in licenses bought for firearms deer season this year in Michigan. Mlive reports that the 2% increase reported by the Department of Natural Resources reverses a downward trend in recent years. More hunters had shifted attention to archery and muzzle loading deer seasons. The increase came despite an outbreak of EHD which killed thousands of deer in Southern Michigan.
