Second annual WMU Day at Capitol

850 students, faculty and staff from Western Michigan University have registered for the second annual WMU Day at the Capitol. They are scheduled to convene on the Capitol lawn beginning at ten o'clock Wednesday morning.

The exhibits include archeological artifacts from Fort Saint Joseph near Niles, an overview of campus sustainability practices and a Formula race car built by engineering students. Organizers say they hope to demonstrate to lawmakers the contribution that Western makes to education and the state's economic development.
