WMU board to set budget, tuitoin rates Thursday
Western Michigan University's Board of Trustees will set tuition for the coming school year Thursday. The board will also approve a budget for the 2009-'10 fiscal year which began Wednesday. In an e-mail sent to campus last month Western President John Dunn said the university was facing further reductions from the state, a projected slight decline in enrollment and increases in operating costs. He said those factors would require cuts to balance this year's budget. The board of trustees meets Thursday morning at 11:15 in the Bernhard Center on the Western campus.
