Kalamazoo United Way short of fundraising goal

The Greater Kalamazoo United Way held a celebration Tuesday night even though its annual fundraising campaign has yet to reach its goal. Western Michigan University President John Dunn is the chairman of the campaign. He says contributions are 15% under the goal of $9.1-million.

But Dunn says he still hopes the finish line will be reached. Dunn says the Kalamazoo United Way campaign this fall faced extraordinary challenges. But he says area residents and businesses are able to meet those challenges.
